These are some of the most frequently asked questions:

·  How long will my wig last?  Your wig can last for 6 months to 1 year, or longer, depending on how you take care of the wig, glue used, and proper handling of the wig. If worn daily, we recommend that you purchase two wigs to alternate wear.

·  What kind of hair do you use to make these wigs? Our wigs are made from 100% Indian Remy OR Chinese Remy Hair.

·  What is Remy Hair?  Remy Hair is human and is also referred to as Cuticle Hair, Virgin Hair and Cut Hair.  It is the softest and most natural hair on the market.  The majority of human hair sold in the industry is non-cuticle hair. The hair cuticle has been stripped by using an acid bath; however, with Remy hair, this is not done. So, the hair cuticle is intact; therefore, the hair is stronger. The hair is softer and more natural, and it does not tangle, which is ideal for longer wear.

·  Can I style my wig? Yes, of course. Remy Hair can be styled just like regular hair. It can be permed, dyed, set, blown dry, hot curled, flat ironed (we do not recommend to flat iron curly styles) just as normal hair. It is 100% Human Remy Hair that will style like your own natural hair.

·  Who can wear these wigs?  These wigs are for anyone. They are perfect for anyone experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy or alopecia. We can also provide Jewish lace front wigs.

·  My own hair is very long. Can I still wear this wig? Yes, of course. All you have to do is corn braid or wrap your own hair flat back. 

·  How do I attach or wear my wig? You will use an adhesive glue and/or tape to attach your wig. Do not apply any product to your hair, so not to damage your own hair. We can provide you with full instructions on how to properly attach your wig. We can also attach your wig for you at an additional cost for those of you who are centrally located. Please inquire about attachment services.

·  Can I go swimming with my wig or get it wet?  Yes, of course. Your wig is just like your own natural hair, so you can perform all normal activities while wearing it, such as swimming, sweating and showering. We will provide instructions on washing your wig. No one will ever know that it is not your own natural hair. The only time you do not get it wet is the first 24 hours after applying the adhesive. If you are a swimmer, we would recommend tape adhesive along with ULTRA HOLD.

·  What is your return policy?  Wigs can not be returned for hygiene reasons. 

·  What density will I need?  Note that thickness is measured in percentage of an average head of hair.

EXTRA LIGHT  = 45%

LIGHT = 60% 

LIGHT-TO-MEDIUM = 80%

MEDIUM = 100%

MEDIUM-TO-HEAVY = 120%

HEAVY = 150%

We recommend light-to-medium density (80%) for those with average hair thickness and medium density (100%) for those with thicker hair.

·  Why are your wigs so much cheaper than the others? The quality of our wigs is the same, if not better than other sellers, but we choose to pass the savings on to our customers.

Our lace front wigs can last from six months to one year, or longer, depending on how long you wear your wig and how often you remove your wig, as well as how you care for your wig. Styling method, products used, glue type and removal process are factors to the longevity of your wig. We recommend purchasing two wigs for those of you who wear lace front wigs daily. Remember, proper care can bring many years of wear and enjoyment.
  • Whether you are experiencing hair loss, or just want a fabulous new look, a lace front wig is a great hair alternative. At one time a secret among celebrities, lace wigs are now widely available and affordable-- typically costing from $1,000, $5,000 and more!
  • A lace wig is a wig made with human hair tied to a lace base. The two types of lace used in lace front wigs are French lace and Swiss lace. A "lace front" wig has lace at the hairline that is secured with liquid adhesive or tape. When the lace is adhered to your own hairline, it gives an invisible hairline, making it look as though the hair is growing out of your scalp. A “full lace” wig is lace around the entire wig perimeter.
  • All of our lace wigs are made with Remy hair. Remy hair is the complete hair strand that has not been weakened by stripping the cuticle. Careful processing creates Remy hair, which leaves the cuticle in place.
  • The result is stronger, more superior hair. Be mindful that the hair has undergone some processing, such as cleaning, curly perm or dyeing, so it should be treated gently. Remy hair is referred to as "cuticle hair" because the cuticle is left intact. Hair that is stripped of the cuticle is often chemically treated to give the hair an artificial softness and shine, which wears down over time, causing tangling and a poor appearance. Remy hair does not have this problem and is the highest quality hair you can purchase.
  • Each wig is handmade by experienced wigmakers. They produce your wig by securing one or more hair strands each time to the lace base.
  • All of our wigs are the finest quality, new, and never worn. Please be sure to measure your head properly to ensure proper fit; we can help you with the measuring process. Please see Your Order Form.
  • Full lace wigs are great for everyday wear. You can go swimming, dancing, or work out, just as you would with your own hair. You can wear your lace wig without removal up to 6 weeks, and also wash and care for it as if it were growing from your own head. We will provide care instructions. You can also design your own wig; send a photo and the wig will be duplicated.
  • When you place your order, please be very clear, as to exactly, what you want. Please see Your Order Form.
  • You may include pictures of the hair color or pictures of the hairstyle you desire for clarity.If after receiving your wig, you have concerns, please contact us.  
  • Girlfriends Lace Front Wigs will make every effort to find a solution to all of your concerns.
  • Texture FYIs:
  • Curly Wigs – Can only be made in darker colors, up to #6 and also #30 and #33, as these are in the dark color spectrum. You may order lighter colors, but the curl does not take well on lighter colors.
  • Yaki Hair – Can only be made in darker colors, up to #6 and also #30 and #33 as, as these are in the dark color spectrum. You may order lighter colors, but lighter colors become over processed, whereby hair breakage occurs.

A DEPOSIT OF 50% OF THE TOTAL COST MUST BE PAID UP FRONT TO ORDER YOUR WIG. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AFTER YOUR WIG ORDER HAS BEEN PROCESSED, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT; SO PLEASE BE VERY SURE ABOUT YOUR ORDER SELECTION.
